Ashwood Group consists of seasoned business executives who enjoy leveraging their corporate and start-up environment experiences to perform operations management, business development, project management, marketing and sales development for the benefit of companies launching new products, services and ventures.
MATT WANGLER is a Managing Director at Ashwood Group. Along with starting several ventures, Mr. Wangler was Chief Operating Officer of Aivea, a software training and e-commerce software provider. Prior to Aivea, Mr. Wangler was Director of Operations for the WiMAX Forum, a worldwide association of companies focused on global adoption of wireless technology. As co-founder of several startups, Mr. Wangler has gained hands-on experience with all aspects of building a business including finance, marketing and sales. Previous to startup ventures, a 17 year career at Intel Corporation included roles as quality/reliability engineer, materials manager, engineering manager and program manager, including a dozen years in new business ventures. Ashwood Group customers benefit from Mr. Wangler's corporate and startup venture experience and education that includes a Masters of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Mr. Wangler is a board member of the Business Education Compact, the Oregon Technology Business Center, and a past board member of the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network.
ROB RANCK has more than thirty years in operations, marketing, product development and financial management and most recently was President of the HomePlug Powerline Alliance. Previously Rob was Vice President for Global Inventures and Executive Director of several industry associations. As a former marketing and financial manager for large organizations (Intel, NCR and AT&T) as well as executive for small companies and start-ups including Gadget Labs, Mr. Ranck brings unique insight to Ashwood Group client projects. Mr. Ranck's education credits include a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
In addition to its founders, Ashwood Group has established relationships with a network of highly experienced associates who are all results-oriented professionals providing consulting services in the areas of project management, business development, strategic planning, marketing and sales development and information technology management.
Ashwood Group has partnered with the Business Education Compact to offer paid student internships that engage high school and college students to give insight into work environment challenges, often in entrepreneurial ventures.
